Onésime Landry, 91, of Foyer Dr. Camille E. Gaudet, St. Joseph and formerly of Memramcook East, passed away at his residence in St. Joseph on Wednesday, January 10, 1996 after a sudden illness.

Born in Memramcook East, he was the son of the late Onésime and Généreuse (LeBlanc) Landry. A retired shoemaker, he attended Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes Roman Catholic Church in Memramcook East.

He is survived by two daughters, Mrs Herménogilde Mallet (Jeannette) of Shippagan, Mrs. Robert LeBlanc (Doris) of Memramcook East; five sons, Edgar Landry and his wife Marguerite of Little Dover Road, Camille Landry and his wife Annette of Memramcook East, Emery Landry and his wife Claudette of St. Anselme, Dollard Landry and his wife Huberte of St. Anselme, Roger Landry and his wife Pierrette of St. Anselme; five sisters, Mrs. Jimmy Dupuis (Yvonne) of Shediac, Mrs. Lumina LeBlanc of Memramcook East, Mrs. Gillis LeBlanc (Violette) of Memramcook East, Mrs. Claude Bourque (Stella) of St-Joseph, Mrs Blair Belliveau (Aurore) of College-Bridge; one brother, Léo Landry of Memramcook East; 27 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife, Régina (Arsenault) Landry in 1957; an infant son, Roger, in 1942; two sisters, Lorette and Florine; two brothers, Blair and Emile.

Resting at Dupuis Funeral Home Ltd., Memramcook with visiting hours on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m ., Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Funeral service will be held at Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes Roman Catholic Church in Memramcook East on Saturday, January 13, 1996 at 11 a.m. Interment in Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes Cemetery in the spring.
